Devastating before-and-after photos have captured the power of the New South Wales bushfires as the blazes continue to decimate the east coast. 

Benjamin Waters snapped the pictures from Charles Hamey Lookout at Camden Head - near Port Macquarie - looking down to Diamond Head in the south. 

The 'before' image showed clear skies and green trees stretching behind the bright coastline at Dunbogan Beach last Sunday.

Victoria state in Australia is suffering raging bushfires that have already claimed over 100 homes in one of the country’s famous tourist areas. Traffic has been disrupted, with walking trails in nearby Great Otway National Park closed to the public, as some of the fires are in the park .

The Crowdy Bay blaze was previously listed as an 'emergency warning' and destroyed 10,500 hectares by Saturday evening. 

Nearby at Port Macquarie, residents shared pictures of the orange clouded skies. 

There is an out-of-control fire at Lindfield Park Road, Port Macquarie, and a controlled blaze at Crestwood Drive.

There were 64 bush and grass fires across NSW on Monday morning, with nearly 40 of those not yet contained.

The RFS has warned that many of the fires will not be controlled by Tuesday, where catastrophic fire danger has been declared for the Greater Sydney and Greater Hunter areas.
