The sister of a murdered millionaire is still fighting to bring her brother's killer to justice - nearly 15 years after he was found beaten to death in his own home.

Michael Griffey, 45, was brutally bludgeoned in the garage of his family's property in Pakenham, in Melbourne's south-east, on New Year's Eve 2005.

His body was covered in a tarp and a sheet, and was discovered by his wife Diane and daughter Cassandra several days after he died.

More than a decade later, Mr Griffey's sister Katrina Fitzpatrick is still seeking closure and is urging for his killer to come forward.

'I have cried, I've had so many tears about this, just the reaction,' she told A Current Affair in an emotional interview.

'This isn't fair. They should be out looking for who murdered their dad, they're not. They don't care.'

Katrina noted how Mr Griffey's family had thrown a New Year's Eve party at the home, while his dead body lay in the garage undiscovered.

She said she first suspected something was wrong after he failed to return her call around Christmas that year.

The wealthy father made his fortune through a successful transport company and appeared to have been living comfortably before his death.
