With the help of her colleagues, police rip the car's driver side door off and the man is taken into custody.

Witness Anthony Rudd and his friend filmed the dramatic arrest after becoming caught in the middle of the dangerous joyride.

"Completely erratic," Mr Rudd told 9News of the man's driving.

"If there was a kid out on the street, he would have killed them instantly. He had no control over the vehicle whatsoever."

The car was stolen from a local church two days ago and was spotted at the Flagstone 7-Eleven around 6.30pm yesterday. When police approached the car it sped off leading officers on a chase.

Tyre spikes were deployed causing the car to plough through a fence. It was then rammed by a police car before coming to a stop.

The wanted Harvey Bay man is facing a string of charges. Police say they found a quantity of the drug ice in the car.
