Two witnesses said during a police statement the couple argued that night but stopped doing so before she was heard screaming as she fell, the court heard.

But Mr Edwards said the witnesses also told a television interview the couple argued up until the moment of her fall.

Magistrate Mark Howden agreed to allow the defence barrister to cross-examine 16 of Ms Robinson's cheerleader teammates.
