Missing plane found in 'steep and rugged' terrain on border
The crash site was located by air on Monday, after the plane went missing with two people on board. The Westpac Rescue Helicopter found the crash site about 1.5 kilometres into the Koreelah National Park on the Queensland border about 9.45am on Monday, according to NSW police.The single-engine plane left Casino Airport about 2pm on Sunday, bound for Boonah in Queensland's south-east.A search was called when the plane failed to arrive about one hour later and attempts to contact the pilot were unsuccessful.Two aircraft and police officers on the ground failed to find any sign of the plane on Sunday night.

A search is underway after a light plane failed to arrive in Queensland after taking off from the NSW Far North Coast yesterday.
The single-engine aircraft, with two people on board, left Casino Airport about 2 pm yesterday and was due to arrive in Boonah at about an hour later.
When the plane failed to arrive as planned and the pilot could not be contacted, a search was initiated by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority.
Police and emergency services search for missing toddler on remote Noreena Downs Station
A search is underway for a three-year-old girl missing since yesterday on a 368,000-hectare pastoral property in the remote and flood-affected Pilbara region of WA.Police received a call from Noreena Downs Station at 2:30pm on Wednesday.
AMSA has two planes searching and officers from Richmond Police District are assisting on the ground.
The plane's last known location was over Tooloom National Park and it has not yet been located.
