The woman pulled from her Brisbane home as it went up in flames during the early hours of Wednesday has rallied in hospital, with her condition listed as stable.

Police said the "suspicious" blaze at Chermside, on Brisbane's northside, broke out about 4.20am and emergency services found the Bundal Street house engulfed upon arrival at the scene.

Neighbours saw someone inside the house as the fire took hold and firefighters pulled the 50-year-old female resident out.

Queensland Ambulance Service senior operations supervisor Gemma Aisthorpe said the fire "fully engulfed the large house", which was very close to neighbouring houses.

Four fire crews worked to bring the blaze under control by about 5am.

Neighbour Michael Kramarenko, who had attempted to kick down the door to help, told media at the scene he was relieved to hear the woman had been revived.

"I first heard screaming, basically people telling a person to get out of the house," he said.

"The house was up in flames in a matter of minutes."

Investigators have appealed for anyone who witnessed anything suspicious at the time of the fire to contact Policelink on 13 14 44 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
