  Emergency warning issued for Bushfire in Katanning WA An emergency warning has been issued for a bushfire burning in the shire of Katanning in Great Southern region of Western Australia. An emergency alert has been issued in Queensland's Southern Downs region due to fears the Bolzan Quarry Dam is about to break.

A huge hole has opened in the dam wall threatening downstream flooding. 

Residents have been told to leave immediately and move to higher ground.

Attempts to repair the hole and stop the flow of water were unsuccessful.

A drone and an engineer will attend the site attempt to alleviate pressure from the dam wall.
