After waking in the middle of the night to check her Lotto ticket, the lucky winner admitted she first thought she'd imagined it all, describing the experience as "a crazy dream".

"I checked my entry last night and saw I had won $1 million and I thought I must have been seeing things," she said.

"It certainly hasn't sunk in yet.

"It was a marked entry, I've been using the same numbers for a long time and I just had a very strange feeling that it was going to happen soon, that I'd win big!

"And now it has! It's unbelievable."

When asked how she planned to enjoy her million-dollar win, the Sydney player said she never thought she'd have this level of financial freedom.

"I never imagined being mortgage-free at 40, so it's going to be pretty amazing!" she said.

"It's a huge relief. I am still in shock. It's certainly going to be life changing.
