$350,000 reward for 2018 armed robbery
Victoria Police is offering a $350,000 reward for information relating to the armed robbery of a security van in 2018.The van was parked outside a pizza shop in Mulgrave early on February 14, 2018 while two guards were inside the local shopping centre collecting cash.
A West Australian maximum-security prison has been locked down after prisoners armed with makeshift weapons scaled the roof.
All seven inmates at Casuarina Prison have now been returned to their cells.
A staff member was taken to hospital by ambulance with a head wound and the Special Operations Group riot squad was deployed, the Department of Corrective Services said in a statement on Sunday.
Other prisoners at the 1032-capacity facility, 40km south of Perth, were confined to their cells.
Corrective Services Commissioner Tony Hassall said the coronavirus epidemic had already stretched the state's prison resources.
"Prison staff have enough to deal with at the moment without the added impact of this unnecessary behaviour," he said.
