A concerned local discovered the boy, who is believed to be aged between six and 10, walking alone down Eclipse Street in Chittaway Bay around 7am today.

The resident alerted police, who attended and searched the area but were unable to find his parents or carers.

The boy is described as being of Caucasian appearance with a medium build and short blonde hair.

He was wearing long pyjama pants and a red T-shirt.

The boy is believed to have a medical condition and has not been able to identify himself to police or help them in identifying where he lives.
