The Ile-de-France region has reopened the 39 public forests which it manages for "walking activities or individual sports", she said on Friday in a press release.

The Ile-de-France Region's green spaces agency, which manages around 15,000 hectares of Ile-de-France green spaces, "has decided, after agreement by the prefectural authorities, to reopen all of the public forests it manages" , since Monday, the statement said, to offer "breathing spaces for Ile-de-France residents in the context of deconfinement".

Among these 15,000 hectares, there are "39 regional forests, more particularly managed for the reception of the public", like the forests of Ferrières (Seine-et-Marne), Bondy (Seine-Saint -Denis), Rosny (Yvelines) or Rougeau-Bréviande (Essonne and Seine-et-Marne).

The region states that "every precaution is taken to guarantee compliance with barrier gestures in order to protect Ile-de-France residents (display of barrier gestures on site, control by equestrian brigades, etc.)".
