The Victorian Government says it is monitoring coronavirus data on an "hourly basis", as the state records 13 new COVID-19 cases ahead of a planned easing of restrictions on Monday.

Transport Infrastructure Minister Jacinta Allan told reporters this morning four of the new cases were linked to an outbreak at the Stamford Plaza Hotel in Melbourne.

A contractor who worked at the hotel tested positive for coronavirus earlier this week.

One case was a person in hotel quarantine, seven were detected in routine testing and one was under investigation.

Ms Allan said health authorities were monitoring coronavirus data "on an hourly basis".

However, she said there had been "no change of advice" and "no reconsideration" of restrictions easing on Monday.

"If that changes there will be a very rapid response to the Victorian community," she said.

"At this stage, the planned restrictions for Monday remain in place."

More to come.
