And Robert Irwin's photo of the devastating destruction of the Australian bushfires has caught the attention of London's Natural History Museum.

The 16-year-old Australian wildlife warrior has been nominated for the People's Choice Award for Wildlife Photographer of the Year.

Sharing the exciting news to his Instagram account, Robert wrote: 'You can now vote for my image, "Bushfire" to be awarded.'

For the 56th time, 17 photographers were honored in various categories again this year. There were a total of 49,000 entries from 25 different countries. The best are exhibited at as Gallery in the Natural History Museum. There were many great pictures - you can see more favorites here - but in the end 17 pictures of them were convincing.

'So honoured that my work is part of this incredible competition once again this year,' he continued.

The image was captured by Robert on his DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone, and was taken near the border of the Steve Irwin Wildlife Reserve in Cape York, Queensland, Australia.

Back in 2018, Robert made headlines after he was first recognised by the prestigious wildlife photography competition.

Robert's stunning photo of a huntsman spider devouring a frog was captured at night in a remote swamp on Cape York Peninsula in Far North Queensland.

At the time, Robert shared a social media post in which he posed alongside his photograph.
