Two new locally transmitted cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in NSW in the last 24 hours.

Both are linked to the cluster at the Great Beginnings Childcare Centre at Oran Park in Sydney's south-west, which now totals 22 cases.

There were also eight cases confirmed in overseas travellers in hotel quarantine.

There were 14,932 tests in the reporting period, compared to 7,401 the day before.

An alert has been issued for The Bavarian restaurant in Macarthur Square, Campbelltown after a case linked to the childcare centre attended the venue on October 10.

Anyone who was at the restaurant for an hour or more from 7.00pm to 9.00pm is considered a close contact and must get tested and isolate for 14 days, even if the test is negative.

Anyone who dined outside or for less than an hour is considered a casual contact and should monitor for symptoms.

NSW Health's Jeremy McAnulty once again called for more testing, particularly in south-western Sydney, Western Sydney and south-eastern Sydney where there have been local cases recently.

NSW Health is treating 72 COVID-19 cases, with one patient in intensive care.
