It means that from midnight on Monday, January 25, travellers will be allowed into the state without needing to meet strict exemption criteria, but will still need to self-quarantine and be tested for COVID-19 on day 11.

Queensland has recorded 15 days since its last community case, while New South Wales has gone seven days.

It brings Queensland and New South Wales in line with Victoria, which was reclassified as "low risk" on Monday under WA's border regulations.

"The transition will be confirmed closer to the date, based on the latest public health information," a Government statement said.
