Police believe they have enough evidence to charge one of four people at a violent scene in Canberra's west at the weekend with the murder and attempted murder of his housemates, despite the survivors still being in hospital.

Wajid Kakar, 36, was charged with the murder of his 34-year-old housemate Michael Williams and the attempted murder of two others in the ACT Magistrates Court today.

Mr Williams was found dead and three others — including Mr Kakar — seriously injured at a home in Page on Saturday, in a bloody scene police described as "unpredictable and extremely dangerous".
