An Amber Alert has been issued after a 10-year-old boy was taken from his school north of.
Police said the boy was taken by a man who is known to him from Woodford State School in Woodford at about 3.30pm.
The boy is described as Caucasian in appearance, 140cm tall, with light brown hair, blue eyes, a slim build, with a fair complexion.
He was last seen wearing a blue Woodford State School uniform.
Steve Sanderson is the man who picked him up from school.
Mr Sanderson is described as Caucasian, 178cm tall, of medium build with brown hair and hazel eyes.
It is believed the man and boy may be in the Fortitude Valley or Brisbane CBD area.
Police have warned the boy may be at "significant risk".
