Australia has signed a deal with Pfizer to acquire 85 million COVID-19 booster shots in 2022 and 2023.

The federal government says 60 million doses of Pfizer will be sent to Australia next year, with the remaining 25 million due to arrive in 2023.

Some 17,370 vaccine doses were administered yesterday in the state, with 32,385 test results received.

More exposure sites have also been added to Victoria's list of COVID-19 exposure sites.

Queensland

Queensland has recorded five new cases of COVID-19.

Deputy Premier Steven Miles says all of the cases were detected in hotel quarantine.

One of the new cases tested positive while in NSW. That case will be counted in NSW's numbers.
