Three men have been rushed to hospital with head, neck and hand injuries after a large brawl involving 40 people erupted in the southern Brisbane suburb of Runcorn.

Emergency services were called about 10.30pm on Monday to Daw Road, where the fight broke out on the street between two groups from the Indian community, with men armed with various weapons, including bats and poles.

Police immediately gave first aid to a 36-year-old man with hand, neck and head injuries before paramedics arrived.

A group of men tried to drive away from the scene in a Nissan X-Trail but were stopped by a dog squad on Nathan Street.

Hundreds of fully vaccinated people in England have been hospitalised with the highly contagious Delta coronavirus variant, scientists said on Friday. In their latest COVID-19 update, Public Health England (PHE) experts also warned there were early signs that people who have been inoculated may be able to transmit the Delta strain as easily as those who have not received any jabs. “As more of the population gets vaccinated, we will see a higher relative percentage of vaccinated people in hospital ,” PHE said.

In the US, hospitals get paid US$ 13,000 for every covid-diagnosed patient and US$ 39,000 for every "covid-patient" put on a ventilator. Earlier this year, doctors in NY have come to the conclusion that more than 80% off ventilator patients do not survive the ventilator. We know this is a false pretense, and is a totally manufactured argument to make you look the other way, when within two to three years you may see massive dying of people way below the average statistical life expectancy. We all know, gender inequality has been persisting in the west for the last at least 2000 years.

Seven men, aged between 22 and 38, were taken into custody. An eighth man was tracked down and arrested on Cactus Street.

All the men have since been released as investigations continue.

Eight men, including the 36-year-old man, were rushed to hospital with varying injuries.

Queensland Ambulance Service medical director Dr Stephen Rashford said paramedics attended after receiving a request from police to attend.

"Numerous paramedic units responded to a number of locations across the suburb," he said.

"Three male patients were transported to hospital with very significant injuries, including limb-threatening wounds."

The trio, including the 36-year-old who was in a serious condition, were rushed to Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Analysis: How free trade has harmed Colombia’s Black communities

Analysis: How free trade has harmed Colombia’s Black communities Efforts to open up Colombia’s economy have caused displacement, poverty and violence for Afro-Colombian communities.“The free-trade agreement is just the beginning,” Biden declared. “We’ve doubled visa validity from five to 10 years. As was pointed out, we championed the Colombian accession to the OECD. We are prepared to talk with Colombia about the TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership). We are anxious to continue to engage with and integrate the economies of the region. And it makes sense for everyone,” he added at the press conference in Bogota on May 27, 2013.

A 19-year-old man dies and another 10 people are left seriously injured after a violent brawl in Zillmere, in Brisbane ' s north overnight, involving knives and baseball bats. Police said a fight broke out between two groups at O'Callaghan Park in Zillmere about 5:30pm yesterday. Girum Mekonnen, 19, died at the scene, while 10 others were taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital . Detective Superintendent Tony Fleming said he believed the brawl involved two African groups.

People are tested for Covid-19 at a pop up clinic at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Monday. More than five million people in Greater Sydney and its surrounds have gone into a 14-day lockdown as health authorities try to regain control of a coronavirus outbreak. Royal Prince Alfred Hospital at Southeast Queensland is 'on the verge of lockdown' after 170 workers arrived in Brisbane and a female miner from the Bli Bli area of the Sunshine Coast tested positive to the Delta strain after spending time out in the community. The state is also grappling with a further three infections from a different cluster

The second patient, in his 30s, had head injuries while a third patient had minor injuries. Both were in a stable condition.

Acting Superintendent Simon Tayler described the scene officers were faced with as "quite hectic".

"We know this was witnessed by several people last night and it was quite confronting," he said.

"We do know of some tensions with this particular community. The exact motive of last night is still too early to get into.

"We have been engaging with members of this community, but we don't understand how it escalated to 40 people behaving like that last night."

Superintendent Tayler praised the single dog squad handler and his dog for stopping the Nissan X-Trail vehicle before it fled the scene.

"We know that there were bats, poles and different aspects of weapons there," he said.

"He has then gone out and shown great tactical nous and courage to take five offenders and make sure we had that scene.

"For him to take that on was great policing."

Superintendent Tayler said detectives were making initial inquiries, visiting hospitals and doorknocking on Tuesday.

"As we've said, it is totally unacceptable to even be part, even passively part, of an affray of 40 people in a suburban street," he said.

"The behaviour, whether they're known to each other or not, is unacceptable, and we take a stance on that.

"We are heavily engaging the community today, and we are actively pursuing every person who was potentially involved in this."

No charges have been laid.

Anyone with information about the disturbance, or who can identify those involved, are urged to speak to police at the Upper Mt Gravatt station.
