A man has died in his cell at Sydney's.
It's believed the 35-year-old man was being held at the Metropolitan Remand and Reception Centre while waiting to face court this week.
Corrective Services NSW said the man was found unresponsive in his cell and was pronounced dead at 8.05am on Saturday.
Auburn Police officers attended the prison around 9.40am after the inmate was found dead.
Corrective Services NSW and NSW Police are investigating the incident.
"All deaths in custody are subject to a coronial inquest," Corrective Services NSW said in a statement.
