  Man charged with torching Qld shops A man has been charged with setting fire to a Queensland shopping centre, leaving a multi-million dollar damage bill. Flames ripped through the centre in the Logan suburb of Rochedale South after midnight on September 18, sparking a lengthy police investigation.The 26-year-old will face the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Monday, charged with arson. He's also accused of torching a car a month earlier as well as attempted fraud over the vehicle fire.

A Total Fire Ban is in place for the South Australian districts of the Lower South East, Murraylands, Mount Lofty Ranges, Mid North, Flinders and Adelaide Metropolitan area.

The cool change is forecast to reach Adelaide late tomorrow, bringing thunderstorms and up to 20 millimetres in rain by Wednesday night.

Melbourne can expect the cold change on Wednesday night, with the chance of thunderstorms and potentially more than 30 millimetres in rain by Friday night.    

Meanwhile, Sydney will remain mostly fine for tomorrow and Wednesday, with maximums of 23 and 25 degrees.

Further north, Brisbane’s in for a duo of hot and cloudy days, with the mercury pushing into the high 20s.
