The bad news for Queenslanders is the cooler change across southern Australia will only push the heat into southeast Queensland.

Daytime temperatures will return into the thirties from tomorrow reaching the high thirties and possibly forty degrees across the weekend for Brisbane's western suburbs.

Overnight temperatures will also remain well above average leaving us all sleep deprived for a few days.

This heat is set to continue well into the middle of next week with nothing more than a few light isolated showers. This rise in humidity will only make the days feel even hotter as our bodies struggle to dissipate the heat.
