Two men have been charged after disturbing worshippers at mosques in Kuraby and Oxley.

The Islamic Council of Queensland told police a group of men went to the Kuraby Mosque on Wednesday and abused and threatened worshippers after asking to be let inside to film what was going on.

He claimed the men told a 65-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy "you don't belong in this country, you bloody terrorist, and we should burn this place down to the ground".

Another mosque at Oxley was also targeted, but the group didn't get past the closed front gate.

Police have charged a 31-year-old Bellbird Park man and a 29-year-old Redbank man with two counts of public nuisance and one count of enter premises with intent and trespass.

Recording equipment including video cameras and mobile phones were seized.

The men will appear in court on July 25.
