A Sydney teen faces up to 25 years imprisonment for his role in an alleged cocaine ring police say he and his uncle were running.

Rhabi Elsage, 18, his uncle Mohammed Elsage, 38, and associate Anthony Khoury, 36, were arrested in a Lilyfield car park on Thursday following what Detective Superintendent Peter McErlain called a "short but extensive" investigation into cocaine supply in the Harbour City.

Detective Superintendent McErlain labelled the teen's involvement in the alleged drug ring as "disturbing".

Detectives from the State Crime Command's Drugs and Firearms Squad seized 2.7 kilograms of cocaine from the trio's vehicle - worth $500,000 - plus small amounts of ice and cannabis.

Investigators subsequently raided the home Mr Elsage and Mohammed Elsage shared at Ermington, as well as another address at Gladesville, seizing more cannabis, drug paraphernalia, mobile phones and clothes. Police say the drugs were to be distributed across the city.

"It was a very, very short-term investigation but we believe that the amount of cocaine was destined for the streets of Sydney and Sydney only," said squad commander Detective Superintendent McErlain.

The drugs were bought into Australia through an as-yet unknown spot on the border from overseas, he said.

Police are confident that the three arrested represent the drug syndicate's kingpins in Australia.

Social media paints Mr Elsage's life as a picture of domestic bliss, with the teen and his partner sharing a one-year-old son and expecting another soon.

His heavily pregnant partner complained in June about feeling exhausted.

"I must say been 30 weeks pregnant and looking after a 1-year-old is a lot of work, honestly don’t no how other mothers do it & keep it together," Mr Elsage's girlfriend wrote on Facebook.

Just six weeks ago, the couple celebrated the first birthday of their son with a party involving their extended family.

"My whole life in one picture," wrote Mr Elsage's girlfriend on a photo of him and the couple's son.

Mr Elsage was living with his uncle and co-accused Mohammed Elsage at an Ermington address at the time of the arrests.

Mohammed Elsage has been charged with two counts of supplying an indictable quantity of a prohibited drug and one count of supplying a commercial quantity of an illicit drug.

Co-accused Anthony Khoury has been charged with supplying a prohibited drug, supplying a commercial quantity of a prohibited drug and driving without a licence.

All three were refused bail at Newtown Local Court on Thursday to reappear before the same court on September 11.
