One-punch attacker loses second sentence appeal A one-punch attacker who killed a man has lost his appeal over his five-year minimum jail term. Andrew Lee, 34, was jailed last year for punching an unsuspecting Pat Cronin after the young footballer ran in to pull a friend out of a brawl at the Windy Mile Pub in Diamond Creek in 2016. © 9News Andrew Lee can still appeal to the high court. CCTV captured Lee delivering the fatal blow. Mr Cronin remained on his feet, but hours later suffered seizures and was hospitalised with a traumatic brain injury. He died the next day. Lee was initially charged with murder.

Disturbing CCTV footage has been released of a violent, unprovoked attack at the weekend on a man at Richmond train station.

A 30-year-old man was talking on his mobile phone on platform six at 8.45pm on Saturday night when an unknown man walked past him.

In the footage captured of the incident, the man can be seen stumbling away from the platform moments before he turns around and punches the victim to the left side of his head without warning.

The victim is knocked unconscious with footage showing him collapsing and hitting his head and back on the floor of the platform.

The thug then flees down the stairs at the east end of the station.

Police say there was no contact between the men before the assault.

The victim was taken to hospital with facial, back and head injuries and has since been released.

Police have described the offender as Caucasian with a medium build and shaved head aged in his 30s to 40s.

A man has died after he was found unconscious at Perth train station this evening. The man, aged in his 50s, was found bleeding from the head on the train platform at Victoria Park just after 5pm.
