'I am worried he will hurt somebody else': Victim of 'monster' rapist

'I am worried he will hurt somebody else': Victim of 'monster' rapist The victim of a convicted rapist who is on the run with $8000 cash and a motorbike, fears it's only a matter of time before the violent attacker strikes again.

He’s been described as a dangerous and vindictive rapist, who has seduced, manipulated and abused a string of women across Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.

But this time next week, Simon Monteiro will walk free out into the community.

Dubbed the Playboy Rapist, the former model and aspiring actor was jailed for 12 years for raping and bashing his then-girlfriend.

At least 11 other terrified women then came forward, claiming the dangerous Casanova had also abused them.

Who Will Pay $2,000 to Own Hugh Hefner's Silk Pajamas? Fourteen months after the Playboy icon's death, several of his belongings — including a vintage Wurlitzer jukebox ($20,000) and a first edition of 'The Great Gatsby' ($4,000) — will be up for sale, with proceeds set to benefit his civil liberties foundation. Julien’s will wield the paddle Nov. 30 and Dec. 1., preceded by a Nov. 28 VIP showing at the auction house's headquarters in Beverly Hills, where the icon’s daughter, Christie Hefner, and widow, Crystal, will appear.

'Playboy rapist' granted parole Simon Monteiro has been granted parole.

Today the State Parole Authority granted his release on December 14, despite acknowledging he is of moderate to high risk of reoffending.

Court documents show he still has trouble controlling his temper and had threatened and abused the psychiatrist who wrote his release report, as well as other prison staff and guards.

The determination for his release acknowledges “he has repeatedly behaved badly” and “the unacceptable behaviour of the offender… has made him unmanageable”.

But the board decided it was better to let him out on parole with strict conditions now, than release him unsupervised into the community when his sentence is up in April 2020.

One of his former partners and victims, Kay Schubach says the decision is dangerous.

Now, hundreds of fans have paid big bucks for a piece of the myth. Items from the late publisher's personal collection -- from his typewriter to the first issue of his iconic magazine featuring Marilyn Monroe -- went under the hammer in Los Angeles in a two-day sale that ended Saturday. The typewriter, which Hefner used at university and to write copy for the 1953 debut issue of Playboy, sold for $162,500.

'Playboy rapist' granted parole Notorious rapist Simon Monteiro will walk out of prison next week.

“He’s going to reoffend, he’s going to harm someone if not kill someone… the state parole authority will have blood on their hands,” she told Nine News.

In their short relationship, Ms Schubach says she was regularly verbally and physically abused.

“Eventually, he tried to smother me on the floor of my apartment by putting his hand over my nose and mouth, and I literally thought this is when I die,” she said.

“He will reoffend, mark my words.

“But they had got to the end of the legal process and the State Parole Authority feels that this is the only option to let him out, so somewhere there is systemic failure.

“The Attorney General needs to actually change legislation so that high risk sexual offenders are not let out into the community where we, the victims, are waiting for another crime to happen.”

Monteiro will be released on December 14 and three days later will make the first of regular reports to Gosford Community Corrections.

He’ll be subject to electronic monitoring, he can’t drink alcohol and he’s required to alert authorities anytime he enters into an intimate relationship.
