While most of the original cast will return, there is a void after the passing of Luke Perry in March. Ziering said he's still processing his grief.

The reunion comes after 90210 cast member Luke Perry , who starred as Dylan McKay, died March 4 at age 52 after suffering a stroke. Perry had never signed onto the reboot . At the end of February, Fox, the network that housed the show for an entire decade, announced plans for a six-episode revival of The original series ran for 10 seasons between 1990 and 2000. It starred Spelling, Garth, Priestley, Doherty and Perry as students at the posh West Beverly Hills High School in Los Angeles.
