There's usually lots of photos for that event, so we'll get the proud parents, the new baby, as well as other royals, so it will be an event. When is it happening?

This is so, so exciting: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are now, officially, a family of three! Baby Sussex Archie Harrison has come, and the world (and also the Internet) has already embraced him with open arms. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are beside themselves with joy, as was apparent in their formal introduction. Even better, reports are coming in that we won't have to wait long for the baby to show up in a fabulous white lacy outfit for his christening. There's usually lots of photos for that event, so we may get the proud parents, Archie, as well as other royals. When is it happening?

Why the announcement of Baby Archie's name was like an early birthday present for the Duke of Edinburgh

Why the announcement of Baby Archie's name was like an early birthday present for the Duke of Edinburgh Just two years shy of being a centenarian Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh celebrates his 98th birthday today and it's revealed why the announcement of Archie's name was like an early birthday present. In May he welcomed his eighth great grandchild, the first son of Duke and Duchess of Sussex, where it was also revealed that he was (by chance) the very first member of the royal family to meet the royal baby – even before the Queen! The Duke and Duchess also made the decision to forego a royal title for little Archie, instead using the Mountbatten-Windsor surname, which royal author Penny Junor says would've felt like an e

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s first child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was born on Monday, May 6, 2019, at 5.26 am , after weeks of anticipation

Baby Archie is now a member of the Church of England, and we, his adoring public, finally have our first pictures of the whole baby , rather than Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, who is probably a Yankees fan, was christened in the chapel at Windsor Castle in the company of his parents, Prince

Traditionally, a royal baby is christened two to three months after he or she is born. This was the case with the last Fab Four royal birth: Prince Louis, who was born in April and then christened in early July in a quiet, lovely ceremony.

Even better, Vanity Fair is giving us a few possible specifics for Archie while we wait for the official announcement from Buckingham Palace:

A christening for the baby is expected this summer at St. George’s Chapel, where Harry and Meghan were married less than one year ago. The couple have apparently already discussed godparents with Harry’s royals cousin Zara Philips, and Princess Eugenie is said to be top of the list.

I love that the location has very special meaning for Harry and Meghan, and is clearly the site of a lot of very important events for the pair. Also, I love the insight about potential godparents, who have not been officially announced yet.

Harry and Meghan send beautiful note to royal fan after Archie’s birth

Harry and Meghan send beautiful note to royal fan after Archie’s birth The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have sent a personal letter of thanks to a royal fan who congratulated the couple on the birth of their first child. Archie Mountbatten Windsor was born on May 6 and barely a month later, the couple have sent letters to those who had reached out. One of those was royal fan Gertrude Daly, who described the note as "a lovely reply". require(["inlineoutstreamAd", "c.

Traditionally, a royal baby is christened two to three months after their birth - and this was also the case for Prince Louis. It's where the royals visit on Christmas Day every year and where Princess Diana was christened too. The location also means Prince Louis and Meghan Markle will share an

Traditionally, royal babies were always given birth at home in the royal residences. Queen Elizabeth II was born at a private family home in London and later gave birth to her sons Prince George was christened at The Chapel Royal , St James’s Palace, and Princess Charlotte was christened at the

There's also been recent speculation amongst royal reporters and watchers that the christening might be a totally private affair, which would potentially make sense, given that Meghan and Harry are doing things exactly how they want with their new family. We'll update this story with details on the christening when the official announcement comes.

Update, 6/11: Some impressive logic from royal reporters has just considerably narrowed down the potential time frame for Archie’s christening, and the reasoning totally makes sense. In a piece on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s new life as parents, Carolyn Durand explained to ELLE that penning Baby Sussex’s ceremony in the diary is mostly dependent on the Queen’s plans.

Prince Harry and Meghan hire a nanny to care for baby Archie

Prince Harry and Meghan hire a nanny to care for baby Archie The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have hired a nanny to help care for baby Archie, one month after his birth.

The new royal baby could be Christened as soon as the summer , before the Queen goes for to her retreat at Balmoral, according to reports. It has been suggested the princess will be brought into the Church of England before July, when Her Majesty is due to start her summer break.

So all of the Royal babies will be christened in England in the Church of England. The Queen, Prime Minister and Parliament all play an official part in the Church. But anyways I expect the christening to take place before the Queen's summer holiday begins.

Discussing the Duchess of Sussex’s ongoing maternity leave, a royal source said that Meghan will make “intermittent appearances”. “We may get our first glimpse of Archie in about six weeks for his christening,” Durand wrote. The christening is most likely to take place in July, “before the The Queen leaves for Balmoral at the end of July. Otherwise, the Queen historically returns from Balmoral in late October.”

A date in July would tie in nicely with tradition, two months after Archie's birth, as well as Vanity Fair’s expectations of a summer christening. It would mean that it’s ticked off the royal To Do list before Meghan and Harry take their first trip with Archie on the royal tour of Africa, scheduled for fall 2019.

I'm already emotional just thinking about the photographs.
