‘It’s got bad karma’: Trump-branded hotel grand opening shunned by Vancouver officials

‘It’s got bad karma’: Trump-branded hotel grand opening shunned by Vancouver officials Multiple protests are planned as the president’s adult sons appear for a lavish party celebrating the new skyscraper. But when Trump’s adult sons appear Tuesday for a lavish grand opening to fete the gleaming 69-story tower, Jang won’t be joining in the festivities. His children plan to be on the street outside, marching against Trump in one of several planned protests across the city. And Jang said he and other city leaders will stay far away from the property.

In an appearance on the US talk show yesterday, Stewart discussed a Tweet last month in which he complained of poor sleep while “sleeping less than 300 (yards) from where Donald Trump sleeps”.

Stewart explains that at the time of the trip he was visiting some good friends who were “Washington insiders”, before confiding he is seeking US citizenship.

He interrupts audience applause to add that the decision was prompted by the advice of these same insiders.

“Because all of my friends in Washington said there is one thing you can do, fight, fight, oppose, oppose,” he said.

“But I can’t do it because I’m not a citizen.”
