EntertainmentThe Voice 2019: The truth about those Jack Vidgen and Sheldon Riley dating rumours
'We don't have history together': Guy Sebastian awkwardly SNUBS The Voice All Star Sheldon Riley ...despite already knowing him from X Factor on which he'd dubbed the budding star 'a young Bruno Mars'

At a glance, Jack Vidgen and Sheldon Riley have a lot in common. They're both talented young men with stunning voices competing on this year's season of The Voice Australia after previously appearing on singing shows — Jack shot to fame as the winner of the 2011 season of Australia's Got Talent, when he was just 14, and Sheldon was a grand finalist on The Voice last year, and returns this year as one of the 10 All Stars.
But just because they have similarities does not mean they're dating.
Earlier this week, rumours swirled that Jack, 22, and Sheldon, 19, had become a couple behind the scenes of The Voice, after Woman's Day reported that Jack had been overheard asking if Sheldon was single.
The Voice 2019: All-Star Sheldon Riley reveals real reason he wore a mask during comeback audition
The masked singer has been unveiled and it's none other than last season's The Voice grand finalist, Sheldon Riley.
Sorry to all the Jack-Sheldon shippers out there but Sheldon is not single, and is happily loved up with boyfriend Zachery Tomlinson, who has been supporting him all the way through his second stint on the show.
"It's really strange for me because last season the biggest adversity I had to cross was just learning that I am lovable, which is really full on," Sheldon previously told 9Honey Celebrity about his new relationship. "So coming off the show and meeting someone who is so different from me has taught me so much."
He also revealed how he and Zachery met, saying he got so many fan messages after being on The Voice last year "but this one message just really stood out to me".
The Voice 2019: Why Jack Vidgen keeps 'bursting into tears randomly'
When it was first revealed that Jack Vidgen would be appearing on the current season of The Voice Australia, the singer knew the reaction to the news could go either way. But the 22-year-old tells 9Honey Celebrity that following his four chair-turning Blind Audition of Adele's 'Hello,' which has been viewed over a million times on YouTube, he keeps "bursting into tears randomly" because he has experienced "so much overwhelming love and kindness and positivity". "It's honestly been so crazy. I had no idea what to expect," he says of the reaction to his performance. "It's just been so amazing. Everyone's comments have been so lovely.
"I didn't even look at his profile, I just read the message. And now we've been pretty inseparable, as much as we can be."
So there you have it — Jack and Sheldon are Voice besties, but not Voice boyfriends.
They will, however, be competing against each other now they've both made it through to the finals of the show.
Jack beat Chriddy Black in his Battle performance to secure his spot on Guy Sebastian's team, while Delta Goodrem picked Sheldon as her Wildcard for the finals.
'People fell in love with me as that 14-year-old boy': The Voice's Jack Vidgen says he's struggling under a 'dark cloud' after hearing 'a lot of negative stuff' about his 'face and lips'.
After a five-year hiatus, Jack Vidgen made a triumphant return to the spotlight on The Voice. But for the 22-year-old, a return to the spotlight has come a return to public scrutiny. Speaking to his mentor Guy Sebastian, the singer, who won Australia's Got Talent in 2011, when he was just 14, revealed he was struggling with the negativity. 'Before my audition aired there was definitely a lot of negative stuff. There's been stuff about my lips and my face,' he said. Jack went on: 'At first I questioned why these people feel they need to say something about it.
