Radio host Steve Price will be leaving Sydney's 2GB and Brisbane's 4BC station after almost 10 years.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph on Friday, the 64-year-old said it wasn't his decision to leave the network but the new owners, Nine Entertainment, 'have decided to go in a new direction.'

'We just couldn't agree to what I was going to do next year. Channel Nine, the new owners, decided to go on a different direction,' he told the publication.

Steve went on to say that he had a ' big profile' and may crop up on television more as a result.
