Bill Montanary shared a photo to Facebook of him posing with 'Reeves' at the Maryland Bike Show over the weekend. Except for one glaring problem: It's not the Matrix actor in the photo.

"Maryland Bike Show this past weekend with Keanu. Apparently he restores antique bikes and is a Trump supporter," Montanary captioned the snap.

The post has already accumulated 5.5K reactions and 1.3K shares on the platform.

Reeves, who has kept his political views quiet over the years, initially stunned fans who viewed the post as confirmation that he's a Trump supporter.

However, it wasn't long before eagle-eyed social media users cottoned on to the fact that it wasn't Reeves in the photograph.

"That's not him," one person wrote on Twitter.

"Lol what are you drinking that's not Keanu," another commented.

The man in the photo is Nick German, and he took to Facebook to clear up that the confusion.

"Some jerk took my photo last weekend at the Timonium Bike Show and now posting online that he met Keanu Reeves. Jesus. Really people???" he wrote.

The man also asserted that he's not a Trump supporter.

"HELL NO TO TRUMP. I never saw the banner. I told the guy to hurry up," he added.
