Music has brought Miranda Lambert 'joy' amid the pandemic

Music has brought Miranda Lambert 'joy' amid the pandemic Miranda Lambert says listening to lots of music has made her feel comforted amid the coronavirus pandemic. Speaking for PeopleTV's Red Carpet Live: 55th Academy of Country Music Awards pre-show, she said: "I definitely have used music to bring me comfort and joy throughout quarantine and all the things going on in the world. "I didn't start writing for a long time. "But I did listen to a ton of new music. It just shows you that people need that to comfort them and feel united even though we're not together, we can listen to the same records and talk about it as it kind of feels like we listen together.

KATE MIDDLETON , the Duchess of Cambridge , was at the centre of a breach of an unwritten protocol when a major announcement about her future with Prince William was made by Kensington Palace, unearthed reports reveal.

Kate Middleton and Prince William may be what Bridget Jones would call "smug marrieds" now, but 13 years ago the royal couple endured a brief but tough breakup.

The now-Duke and Duchess of Cambridge had been together for four years, having met as students at university in Scotland, when they split in March 2007.

However, she also acknowledged those months apart from William ultimately made her a stronger person, even if she didn't realise it in the moment.

"You find out things about yourself that maybe you hadn't realised ... I think you can get quite consumed by a relationship when you're younger," she mused.

"I really valued that time for me, as well."

While Kate now lives a very different life to the rest of us commoners, it turns out we can all learn a few things from the way she dealt with her breakup (publicly, at least).

Lesson #1: Get out of town

Sometimes, literally flying away from the situation is the only thing that helps... if your savings will allow for it.

According to an Express report, Kate, then 25, grabbed her mother Carole Middleton and a small group of mates and flew to Dublin days after the split. Apparently they travelled via private jet, but hey — the urge to escape remains highly relatable.

In May, Kate jetted off again for a slightly more summery holiday with her brother James and some friends in Ibiza.

Though details of that trip are scarce, we like to think she sank plenty of mango daiquiris to cheer herself up.

Lesson #2: Family time heals a broken heart

As her post-breakup travels would suggest, Kate leaned on her family for support in the months after her breakup.

She's said to have taken refuge in the Middleton family home in Bucklebury during the immediate aftermath, soaking up every bit of helpful advice from Mum. (Even future Duchesses need that.)

Kelly Clarkson reveals the breakup tracks helping her through divorce with Brandon Blackstock Kelly Clarkson may have a few breakup bangers of her own (ahem, 'Since You've Been Gone'), but that doesn't mean she doesn't pump breakup tracks from other artists. The recently separated 38-year-old — she split from her husband Brandon Blackstock in June — revealed her go-to songs while interviewing John Legend on her self-titled talk show. "I love 'Wild', actually," she told the singer as they discussed his new album, Bigger Love, which Clarkson said she needed in her life right now to balance out all her divorce angst.

Lesson #3: Try to get out of the house

Real talk: Netflix, a tub of Nutella and a spoon is a perfectly reasonable way to nurse a broken heart. But it's probably not an ideal 24/7 plan of attack.

In Kate's case, accepting invitations and peppering her diary with a range of social events was seemingly helpful.

Sure, she still would have been reeling from the split, but she was at least meeting new people and doing new things. Can't be a bad thing.

Lesson #4: Throw yourself into the things you love

Experts say breakups are the perfect opportunity to get reacquainted with, or pour more time into, your hobbies and passions.
