I knew as I clung to my firstborn child that I was losing my second. " She continues in the open letter: "Hours later I was lying in a hospital bed holding my husband's hand. I felt the awkwardness of his hands and kissed his knuckles, which were wet with both of us tears." As she stared at the white walls, Meghan tried to imagine how the pain would heal.
