Ruth Langsford & Eamonn Holmes make thinly-veiled dig on This Morning Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes appeared to make a thinly-veiled dig during This Morning hosting duties on Friday, amid the drama caused by their axing from the show. Ruth and her husband Eamonn, both 60, are being replaced on This Morning's Friday show by Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary at some point in the near future - with the pair said to be  'disappointed and devastated' by the news. As the presenting duo returned to the show for the first time since the shake-up emerged, it seem the termination was very much  fresh on their minds as Eamonn joked it was a 'chilly' morning.

Wrapped up against the winter chill, this was I’m a Celebrity star Ant McPartlin today.

The co-presenter of ITV’s hit show would probably have preferred to have been in sunny Australia, parts of which had the hottest November night on record last night.

Instead, dressed in a wooly hat, body warmer and hands in pockets, Ant, 45, braved the cold as he strolled along the beach in North Wales at lunchtime.

Ant’s attire appeared to have been influenced by the celebs hoping to be crowned King or Queen of the castle on Friday evening.

The plummeting temperatures and misty scene instead of blue Australian skies, however, was the reality for the millionaire entertainer.

Get Me Out Of Here ! The Mail on Sunday can reveal that Ms Corbett is planning to accompany him to Queensland from November, for the month that filming on the ITV show takes. She joined Ant McPartlin at centre court, and she chose a pretty pink dress by Alexander McQueen for the occasion.

By his side was a minder, instead of his TV partner and best friend Declan Donnelly who is staying in an adjacent cottage with his wife Ali and their two-year-old daughter.

Asked by MailOnline how he was coping with the wintery weather in contrast to the soaring temperatures Down Under, he smiled and said: ‘Sorry mate, I’m only out to have a walk.’

Ant trekked for around a mile and at one stage stopped to wave to a lone jogger who recognised him.

The Geordie duo have set up their own Welsh camp off a secluded path in £1,000-a-week adjoining cottages.

They are staying near haunted Gwrych Castle which is the celebrities’ new camp after the ITV1 show had to relocate from Australia because of the coronavirus pandemic.

ITV have advised the duo that due to the Covid 19 crisis, they should limit their contact with the public and therefore avoid penetrating the coronavirus bubble that the celebrities are also living under at Gwrych Castle, about 10 miles from their cottages.

Their temporary homes are right next door to a caravan park which might have prompted Ant’s gag on the show about staying in a caravan.

The pair have been forced to swap their normal luxury Palazzo Versace hotel in Australia for the cottages surrounded by muddy paths and nearby mountains in storm-lashed North Wales.
