Amanda, who has been a judge on the show since 2007, spoke with GMB host Piers Morgan, who was one of Britain's Got Talent's original judges.

The TV presenter said that she believed it was the 'right decision' to cancel this year's show although it was 'difficult' as it left so many people without jobs.

It was announced last week that Britain's Got Talent 2021 has been cancelled as the ongoing coronavirus pandemic prevents a live studio audience from being present.

The hit ITV talent show had already been postponed due to safety concerns and the restrictions brought about by tier systems and lockdowns.

But after several weeks of speculation, it was finally confirmed that the show will not return to screens until 2022.

Bosses of the show said that despite the efforts of the teams at ITV, Thames and head judge Simon Cowell's Syco, they were forced to call plans off.
