Home and Away's Ada Nicodemou took home the title of the Dancing With The Stars champion back in 2005. And on Sunday, the 43-year-old actress confirmed she will be returning to the dance floor on this year's all-stars reboot of DWTS on Channel Seven.'When they first approached me... I thought that maybe I actually didn't have it in me. I'm 43 now and I thought maybe I was too old,' she told The Sunday Telegraph.
Skater Alexandra Schauman is "beyond gutted" that she and celebrity partner Jason Donovan have been forced to pull out of Dancing on Ice.
It was announced on Monday night the pair had quit the 2021 series of the popular ITV show owing to the Australian star's ongoing back pain. It marks the fifth celebrity pair to duck out of the show this year.
Taking to Instagram following 52-year-old Jason's own announcement on his Facebook page, pro skater Alexandra added a statement of her own.
"Finding it hard to find the right words right now..." the Finnish star began. "What a true honor and privilege to have been partnered with @jdonofficial on this series of @dancingonice. To say that I was star struck when we first met would be an understatement even though I played it cool and I think he didn't notice. Told him later though.
Dancing on Ice won't air this week after stars plagued by injuries
‘Dancing on Ice’ will not air this weekend to give contestants time to recover from their injuries, as at least three couples are facing health setbacks.The ITV ice dancing competition has been plagued by bad luck in recent weeks with several celebrities having to either skip a performance or back out of the show entirely.
"Beyond gutted that our time on the ice together has come to such an abrupt end when I feel like we had so much more to show you all. But as always, thank you so much for all your love and support, couldn't have done it without you and a huge thank you to everyone involved with the production of this fantastic show.
"It has been a tough year but I will always treasure these months on the ice knowing that we hopefully have brought some magic into people's living rooms on Sunday night! I will continue to cheer everyone on and wishing my wonderful partner in crime a speedy recovery."
She signed off her note with the words, "No risk-no magic".
Denise van Outen, Billie Faiers, Rufus Hound, and Joe-Warren Plant are the other stars who have had to exit early.
