John Stamos Joining 'American Idol' as a Mentor for Very Special Disney Night (Exclusive)
The actor and musician is lending his talents to help this season's 'Idol' hopefuls.As the race to the Idol championship continues to narrow, the Top 9 will soon be taking a trip to Disney World for a very special Disney Night episode, where they will get some guidance from Stamos, as well as some inspiration from the Magic Kingdom itself.
Chris Martin is set to mentor the ‘American Idol’ contestants on a special Coldplay-themed episode this week.
The 44-year-old frontman of the ‘Yellow’ hitmakers will assist the remaining seven contestants on the talent competition on Sunday’s (09.05.21) episode as they each pick a song from Coldplay’s catalogue to perform.
The episode will take place on Mother’s Day in the US, and will see the contestants perform something as a tribute to their own mothers before later getting one on one studio time with Chris, where he will help guide the contenders through the Coldplay songbook for their second performance of the episode.

Coldplay will release their new single, ‘Higher Power’, on May 7, after fans managed to decipher the the letter-like symbols posted on cryptic billboards around the world.The British band – comprised of Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman, and Will Champion – have teamed up with producer Max Martin for the upcoming track, which will be available from next week.
