The Duke of Sussex admitted his portion of the event might be a "bit dry" but that didn't seem to matter to the crowd at SoFi Stadium.

Prince Harry praised the efforts of frontline workers during the pandemic, who made up the majority of those in attendance.

"Tonight is a celebration of each of you here, the vaccinated frontline workers in the audience and the millions of frontline heroes around the world," he said.

Vax Live is calling on governments to commit to vaccine equity by donating doses and resources.

Despite one billion doses of coronavirus vaccines being distributed around the world, there are vast differences in how they are being administered, particularly in low socio-economic countries.

It remains unclear if Meghan recorded a special message to be included in the broadcast.

The duchess is heavily pregnant with the couple's second child, believed to be due anytime from mid-June.
