Sri Lanka recovers black box from sinking ship, aborts dive

Sri Lanka recovers black box from sinking ship, aborts dive A black box from a container ship sinking off Sri Lanka was recovered but a dive Sunday to check for oil leaks had to be aborted, the navy said. However, they did not notice any oil slick in the area, a navy officer told AFP. He said another dive would be attempted when the weather improved. Sri Lankan authorities hope the black box will provide details of the ship's movements and its communications with the harbour in the capital Colombo, where it had been due to dock.

But Andy Lee and Hamish Blake have now found themselves in direct competition. On Wednesday, it was announced that one half of the comedy duo, Andy , would be taking on a new solo project. Head of programming at 10 ViacomCBS, Daniel Monaghan, added: ' Andy Lee is one of the most popular and talented comedians in Australia, and we are thrilled he will host this brilliant series. 'The Cube has been a huge success in the UK for years, and to bring this edge-of-your-seat game show to Australia for a local prime time version, with Andy Lee no less, is a fantastic addition to our 2021 schedule.'

Comedian Andy Lee has reportedly been approached by Channel Nine bosses 'to have a crack at co- hosting the Today show '. According to News.com.au , the 38-year-old funnyman has been 'tapped to fill in' on the struggling program as its ratings continue to dwindle. Nine executives had blamed the show 's dip in popularity on Karl's tumultuous personal life, but his departure only accelerated the ratings decline. For months, rumours have swirled that Karl could return to the Today show , but both he and the network have strongly denied this.

'We started off with just kind of a stats-based show, and we turned it into a comedy panel show,' Andy said of the format.

Despite the show gaining a premiere high of more than 500,000 viewers, it quickly dipped to just 300,000 viewers as the season continued.
