, known for smash hits 'Price Tag' and 'Domino', has revealed she has a throat condition that has been preventing her from singing to her full ability.
In a candid video posted to herpage recently, the songstress is seen softly singing a reindition of her new hit 'I Want Love' to send to her speech therapist so the therapist could hear her changed voice. Watch above.
Accompanying the post was a lengthy caption, and several Instagram stories where the 33-year-old Brit described the issue in detail, which she says has been dealing with for four to five months.

"I have never ever to this day (since recording it) been able to to sing it because of the pain I am experiencing. Man it's been hard not singing."

"I've always been honest however hard it feels. It's important to be strong enough to be weak," she wrote, before continuing her explanation on her Instagram stories.
The Ice Age: Collission Course star said in her stories that she initially did not expect to have to share what was happening as she thought "it would be solved by now."
"In February, I started to feel a burn in my throat constantly. I ignored it for a bit as I presumed it was fatigue from the studio," the musician wrote.
The singer is currently working on her as-yet-untitled fifth studio album, of which the single 'I Want Love' is from.
"When I went to see a doctor I was told I have major acid reflux and nodules because I have continued to sing with acid reflux which was probably caused by the steroids I had taken for my ear late last year."

The 'Flashlight' singer said she is "still in pain everyday" but "with rest and little talking/singing the nodules melted away."
Doctors have, however, advised her that if she sings, the nodules "will just come right back."
The singer went on to say that these struggles are the reason she hasn't done any promotion for her upcoming album, of which her new single 'I Want Love' is from.
"I am not telling you this for pity but for understanding why I haven't done any promo," she said. "I have been heartbroken to turn things down."
By the end of shooting all the material for 'I Want Love', which took two days, the songstress said she "was in agony".
Jessie J is remaining positive amid her health issues, and says she refuses to mime her songs on stage.
"I don't always get it right. But I am always honest. And I hope you can respect that," she ended her story by sending love to all her fans.
