Prince William's birthday celebration was a low-key event in keeping with current coronavirus restrictions in the UK.

The Duke of Cambridge turned 39 on June 21, with family members and royal fans alike sending their birthday wishes to the third in line to the British throne.

His father led the charge posting two photos on his Clarence House social media accounts. In the photo a much younger Prince Charles holds a smiling Prince William who looks to be around six months old.

A second photo shows a grown Prince William seated next to his step mother Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Charles at a royal event, the trio smiling and clapping along.

The Royal Family Twitter account shared on behalf of the Queen four photos of the royal including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at a youth charity event and one from a past Trooping the Colour, with Prince William keeping a careful hold on his youngest child Prince William.
