A children's book written by themore than two decades ago is getting a new lease of life after it was recently unearthed online.
In the book, Meghan describes having freckles as being an integral part of her identity even if some people think they are "strange".

Fast forward to 2021 and Meghan, now the Duchess of Sussex, has published her.

The Duchess of Sussex has thanked readers for helping to make her children's book become a bestseller. The Duchess of Sussex has thanked readers for helping to make her children's book become a bestseller.
That was widely believed to be Meghan's first foray into children's literature.
But Meghan dabbled with book writing when she would have been aged around 13 or 14, in the 8th grade at Immaculate Heart High School in Los Angeles.
According to the back of the book, it was penned by Meghan as a school project.
One of the pages features a drawing of a young girl with curly hair and freckles with the text: "Some people think freckles are strange, while I happen to disagree, because if I didn't have my freckles, then I would not truly be me!!!"
The cover of the book wasby American Carla Hayden, the 14th Librarian of Congress.
Girl dads: Famous fathers of daughters
On April 6, Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine shared a photo of himself and his wife Behati Prinsloo alongside their two daughters, Dusty Rose, 4, and Gio Grace, 3. The best part? They were all wearing matching dresses. Levine wore a pink tie-dyed halter maxi dress from Tiare Hawaii, matching his girls as they all hold hands and pose with their backs to the camera. Levine captioned the post, "Girls just wanna have fun." And that is just one of the many joys of being a father to girls! Many celebrities are, of course, quite protective, even secretive, when it comes to their families, and often celebrity kids are kept out of the spotlight. But in fact there are many celebrity fathers who join Adam Levine in the team of girl dads. Check out this gallery to find out who they are.
She is the first woman and the first African American to hold the top post of Librarian of Congress.
On the back of the book there is a school photo of Meghan and a description of her which says the young student "wishes to continue writing throughout high school".
It continues: "[Meghan] wants to take a moment to thank her 'mommy' and 'daddy' who gratefully spent their time and effort supporting her".
According to Hayden's tweet, Meghan submitted the work to the US Copyright Office in 1996.
She had applied for the phrase "a face without freckles is night without stars" to be copyrighted.
The phrase may have come from her now-estranged father Thomas Markle, who used to say it to her as a child, The Sun reported in 2019.
Meghan has previously spoken about her love for her freckles and had instructed her makeup artist to not cover them up on her wedding day.
Piers Morgan takes aim at Meghan while claiming he wasn't fired from TV job over her
Piers Morgan has taken aim at Meghan Markle yet again, this time claiming that he wasn't fired from his TV job because of his comments about her. The controversial broadcaster left his role on Good Morning Britain earlier this year after making a string of divisive claims and comments about the Duchess of Sussex. He also walked off set during a live TV segment when he was challenged for his "diabolical behavior" towards the royal. Now Morgan has claimed that he chose to leave the program, rather than being asked to leave, because he refused to apologise for his comments about Meghan.
Daniel Martin, who was behind Meghan's fresh-faced look, said Prince Harry had thanked him for making his wife look natural on their big day.
Martin said: "After the ceremony Harry kept saying thank you.
"He was thanking me for making her look like herself."
And in a past interview with Allure magazine Meghan said: "To this day, my pet peeve is when my skin tone is changed and my freckles are airbrushed out of a photo shoot".
Meghan's latest book, The Bench, has become a New York Times bestseller just weeks after it was published on June 8.
In a recent interview the duchess revealed she had deliberately hidden special details to the late Princess Diana, including her favourite flowers forget-me-nots.
The book also features illustrations of Meghan wearing a pair of Princess Diana's butterfly earrings she first wore in Sydney in 2018, and drawings of Prince Harry and their two children Archie and Lilibet Diana.
Celebrities managed by their parents .
In recent months, there's been a lot of attention on Britney Spears and her father, Jamie, who as his daughter's conservator has controlled pretty much every aspect of her life since she was admitted to hospital in 2008. This may be an extreme case of parents taking the reins when it comes to their kids, but there are lots of other celebs who at some point have been managed by their parents. Just look at Kris Jenner, the world's most famous "momager." Check out this gallery to find out which stars have been managed by their parents.
