He usually looks dapper in a suit when he's on television.

But Tom Bergeron was taking it easy on Tuesday when he was spotted inflating his car's tires in Calabasas, California.

The 66-year-old host was out and about after opening up about his firing from Dancing With The Stars earlier this month.

Bergeron looked relaxed and casual in a black zipped hoodie with a navy T-shirt on underneath.

He stuck to the low-key look with jeans and a set of gray-and-blue Asics trainers.

The TV fixture was spotted parked at an air pump as he inflated his car's tires.

Bergeron has been keeping a fairly low profile recently, but earlier this month he delved into his surprising departure from Dancing With The Stars, which he attributed to 'butting heads' with producers of the show's use of politically charged dancers.

During a conversation with Bob Saget on his podcast Here For You, Bergeron said DWTS was 'not the show that I loved' by the time he was booted last year, ahead of season 29.

He explained that 'there were personnel changes behind the scenes and those people and I did not see eye to eye about how best to present the show, particularly when we were at a point where it was on only once a year.'

However, he added that the 'great majority of the time that I was there it was wonderful.'

Bergeron claimed to Saget, who hosted America's Funniest Home Videos before he later took over, that he told DWTS' producers that the show should be an 'oasis for two hours every week from all of the nonsense and the divisiveness going on right now,' adding, 'Let's not put political people in there.'

But the producers ignored his request and added former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer to the season 28 cast, despite his history of telling falsehoods to reporters.

He infamously claimed that the crowd for former President Donald Trump's inauguration was the largest ever for an inauguration, though aerial photos of the event showed that it was clearly a smaller crowd than at previous presidential inaugurations.

Part of Dancing With the Stars is knowing that another celebrity will leave the ballroom floor for good each week. But in October 2020, fans were stunned when producers announced that original host Tom Bergeron would be leaving the show after 28 seasons at the helm, along with co-host Erin Andrews. But even as viewers continue to mourn his departure, Bergeron has opened up about the experience and revealed why he was fired from the popular show. Read on to see why he waltzed away from the longtime hosting gig.RELATED: This Was the Worst

The conflict with reporters eventually led Kellyanne Conway, an aide to Trump, to defend Spicer's false statement as an example of 'alternative facts.'

'A few months ago, during a lunch with DWTS' new Executive Producer, I offered suggestions for Season 28. Chief among them was my hope that DWTS, in its return following an unprecedented year-long hiatus, would be a joyful respite from our exhausting political climate and free of inevitably divisive bookings from ANY party affiliations. I left that lunch convinced we were in agreement,' Bergeron wrote on Twitter in August 2019.

'Subsequently (and rather obviously), a decision was made to, as we often in Hollywood, "go in a different direction."'

The host also clarified that Spicer's affiliation as a Republican and his work for Donald Trump wasn't his main concern, as he would have felt the same way about someone involved in Democratic politics.

'I would have released the same statement if it was somebody I supported because I don't think they belonged here now,' he told Saget.

As the season wound down, it became obvious to Bergeron that his days as DWTS host were numbered.

'So, the end of the season that turned out to be my last season, I kind of knew,' he shared.

'So I took everything out of my dressing room that I really wanted. It was kind of obvious that we were kind of butting heads,' he continued, adding that he 'wasn't surprised.'

But Bergeron stayed in a good mood even as he and his cohost Erin Andrews realized their time was up.

'So there was no blue period. Actually, I think Erin and I had more fun getting fired than anyone,' he said.

But the former host stressed that non one needs to hear a 'whiny millionaire,' and he graciously urged fans of his tenure on DWTS to keep watching the series and supporting the people who continue to work on it.

After his ouster, Tyra Banks took over as DWTS host.
