Kim Kardashian-West has been accused of plagiarising designs from established high-end brands for her children's fashion line, The Kids Supply.

Cult Instagram account Diet Prada called out similarities between Kardashian's designs and Rei Kawakubo for Comme des Garçons and Demna Gvasalia for Vetements.

One of the designs, a sequinned glitter dress, is strikingly similar to the 'mum and me' design Gvasalia created for Kim and her daughter North in 2016. Gvasalia is a long-time friend of Kardashian and her husband Kanye West, and the dress' design is named after him ('The Demna').

Kim Kardashian is under fire for allegedly plagiarizing the latest designs in her The Kids Supply collection. Find out more this at SheFinds.com. This major fashion crime was first noticed by Diet Prada, an Instagram account that points out similarities between fashion brand designs.

Earlier this summer, Kardashian debuted her first foray into the beauty business with KKW Beauty, introducing a contour kit, of course. To promote the new line, Kardashian posted a photoshoot of herself wearing the makeup on Instagram, which many Internet commenters compared to blackface.

Kardashian responded to the accusations via a representative who told Page Six that the designs were created as an "homage" to the original designers, which is why Kardashian decided to name pieces 'The Demna' and 'The Rei'.

"The idea behind Kids Supply is to give people the opportunity to purchase things that would never be available for children otherwise," the statement said. "We decided to release the Demna dress after making one on our own for North because it got such a great reaction and an overflow of people wanting it for their own children. We named it the Demna dress to pay homage to him as it was one of Kim and North's favouritemummy and me moments."

The statement confirmed that proceeds from sales from The Kids Supply will be donated to the Children's Hospital in Los Angeles. "We took our kids' favourites pieces, we remade them, and from them we're donating 100 per cent of the profits to the Children's Hospital Los Angeles," Kim said in an Instagram Story yesterday.

Premier Investments chiefs say Oroton collapse 'only the tip of the iceberg' for retailers The collapse of handbag maker Oroton is just the start of a fresh round of Australian retail failures, and sky-high rents are partly to blame, according to the chiefs of the Premier Investments conglomerate.
