Reality cooking show My Kitchen Rules has been losing the ratings battle to Nine' s rival Married At First Sight for weeks. And now it' s been revealed that MKR judge and chef Pete Evans will be joining lifestyle program Better Homes And Gardens this month.

Previously, Channel Seven's My Kitchen Rules reigned as one of Australia's biggest reality shows. However, ratings have been less than impressive this season, despite the show's noticeable increase in on-screen drama between contestants.

Meanwhile, Married At First Sight has topped the ratings war and is one of the most-watched programs on Australian television, raking in over 1.5 million viewers. In fact, MAFS has been beating the ratings of Channel Ten's The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, making it the top dating series on television.

Casting for season six of MAFS has begun, however casting for the next season of MKR is yet to be announced.
