Glenn Dyer's TV Ratings Channel Nine has walked home past a weakened Seven. And that was the night. The ABC beat Ten into third with its usual Monday night line up of news and current affairs programs. While it was close in total people – Nine won with a share of 29.9% to 29.7% for Seven — the real game is in the main channels where Nine was an easy winner — 24.7% to 21.1%.

The first qualifying final between Adelaide and Greater Western Sydney dominated the night with 1. 5 million viewers last night on Seven and 7mate 1. 16

Seven won last night by default — it had My Kitchen Rules in the line up and Nine had the NRL season’s first game. MKR had more than 1.4 million national viewers and the NRL 765,000 (an extra 261,000 watched the NRL game on Foxtel). Gogglebox Australia on Ten at 8.30pm had 829,000 nationally, which tells us the NRL is going to struggle this year to add viewers. Ten’s Eyewitness News at 5 to 6pm has fallen into something of a hole this week – -last night’s 375,000 viewers in the five metro markets was low, even for a Thursday evenings.

A move up from AFL for Seven’s Perth footy commentator, Basil Zempilas as he starts at Weekend Sunrise this weekend. Seven says that from Saturday,He replaces Andrew O’Keefe as co-host alongside Monique Wright. Meanwhile America’s ABC network has some good news for struggling Seven — ABC has just given an early ‘yes’ to a second series of The Good Doctor.

Has the nation tired of watching the same thing on a different channel?

Has the nation tired of watching the same thing on a different channel? Nary an original thought seems to pass through a programmers head these days and Australia seems to be growing tired. And it seems Australia is finally growing tired of watching the same old stuff rebadged on a different channel.

Glenn Dyer ’ s TV Ratings . Ten inches ahead of the ABC, while Seven beats Nine by a nose. But the big story from last night wasn’t Ten’s reclaiming third spot in the ratings . It was another miserable night for The Biggest Loser: Transformed.

Glenn Dyer ’ s TV Ratings . Another night of tired, barely watched offerings.
