Glenn Dyer’s TV Ratings

Glenn Dyer’s TV Ratings Young Sheldon is already getting old with audiences.Ten’s Batchelor in Paradise was watched by 985,000 people. Seven and the ABC had nothing of importance — Seven though ran the AFL-skewing The Front Bar last night and it grabbed a solid 527,000, including 139,000 in Melbourne. Sunrise really whacked Today yesterday — 492,000 to 382,000 nationally and 295,000 to 253,000 in the metros.

Michelle Jenneke.© Associated Newspapers Michelle Jenneke. Seven’s night again with the Games. The night session topped the most watched list with 1.94 million, while the evening session managed 1.90 million for an average of 1.92 million for more than four hours of primetime. The late session was watched by another 1.24 million (all figures on Seven’s main channel, plus 7TWO and 7mate), while the afternoon session managed 804,000 viewers. And that was the night.

In AFL markets, Seven’s Front Bar (408,000 nationally, 126,000 in Melbourne) went up against The AFL Footy Show on Nine with Eddie McGuire (396,000 nationally and 131,000 in Melbourne). Now let’s see what happens when we have clean air. Gogglebox Australia did well for Ten with 781,000.

Glenn Dyer’s TV Ratings Seven's Commonwealth games coverage brought home the gold.Nothing else mattered, and as such, the ABC should really repeat last night’s episode of Mad As Hell, which was one of the best ever — it got 656,000 nationally and deserved double that, if only for his very neat skewering of Bill Shorten, again. But the games sucked viewers away from every program from 7pm onwards — the ratings for A Current Affair, The Project, the ABC News, then 7.30 sank sharply as viewers moved to Seven and stayed there. And of course these figures do not include viewers in clubs, pubs and offices, or streaming.

Glenn Dyer ’ s TV ratings . A fabulous game, as the occasion and hype had demanded. And Seven smiled at what could be perhaps the final final between Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal.

In regional markets Seven News topped the night with 520,000, from the evening session of the games with 488,000, then the night session of the games with 456,000, Seven News/Today Tonight was fourth with 438,000 and A Current Affair was fifth with 340,000.
