MKR finished last night, so Seven won. MKR managed 2.22 million for the winners’ announcement (2.15 million for the 2017 announcement). The lead-up averaged 1.96 million (down from 2.022 million a year ago). In the metros the winners’ announcement rose on a year ago to 1.54 million from 1.48 million, while the lead-up dipped to 1.36 million from 1.39 million. The regional audience for the winner’s announcement averaged 679,000, up 9,000 on 2017. The Voice did well with 1.47 million, but there seems to be a singing shortfall at times. A lot of chat from the judges.

Glenn Dyer ’ s TV Ratings . It's looking more like Australian Ninja Worriers at this point.

Glenn Dyer ’ s TV Ratings . Apart from a strong showing for Seven in the regions and a decent night for Masterchef, it was a ratings night to forget all round.

Insiders dominated the morning chats again — 530,000 on the ABC main channel and ABC News. Makes you wonder why Treasurer Scott Morrison did his traditional pre-budget interview on Nine’s Weekend Today which could only manage 340,000. Laurie Oakes has retired … so time to change for a bigger audience?

The remake of Picnic At Hanging Rock debuted on Foxtel’s showcase channel with 112,000 viewers — the 9th top program amid a slew of AFL, NRL and racing coverage, as well as sport chat programs. It was the only non-sports programs in the top 20 programs on Foxtel on Sunday.

In the regions the MKR winner was tops with 679,000, followed by the MKR lead-up with 600,000. Seven News was third with 499,000, then The Voice with 451,000 and Nine News with 436,000.

Glenn Dyer’s TV Ratings

Glenn Dyer’s TV Ratings We dream of day in which Seven does not come out on top.But in total people, the ABC’s usual reliable Monday night news and current affairs line up lifted it into third spot, as well as in the main channels, ahead of Ten. Ten now has a weak week ahead before Masterchef starts next Monday.

Glenn Dyer TV Ratings . A close night for the commercials, nothing to write home about for the ABC.

Glenn Dyer ’ s TV Ratings . Nigella proves a winner. In pay TV , the Paul Williams program on Sky News had 55,000 viewers last night and The Bolt Report managed 40,000 and both finished in the top 20 programs on Foxtel last night.

Glenn Dyer’s TV Ratings ABC comes back strong tonight, hoping to unseat the reigning champs.Tonight is more interesting, the ABC returns its second core Wednesday night line up for the year — Julia Zemiro’s Home Delivery at 8pm, Gruen at 8.30pm and The Weekly With Charlie Pickering and around 9.10pm. Now will this trio top the solid effort of Hard Quiz and Shaun Micaleff’s Mad As Hell and Sando? Yep, because Sando was the weak one. Nine starts the tired old Britain’s Got Talent at 8.30pm and then follows it with a fresh ep of Young Sheldon at 10pm. Over on Seven, new eps of Modern Family at 9pm which has moved from Ten, after Fox ended the supply contract with them.

Glenn Dyer ’ s TV ratings . The AFL Footy Show gave Nine the edge last night. Also, there are NRL finals tonight and tomorrow night, if anyone is interested.

Tuesday night was a night for everyone according to the ratings.
Nine had a Megan Markle special at 9pm — 472,000 nationally — like me, the country is so over it. The ABC’s 7.30 was weak, 705,000 nationally against 801,000 for the 7pm part of The Project (including 471,000 in the metros against 558,000).
