Chatting to TV WEEK, the 27-year-old from NSW reveals she found herself the target of relentless bullying.

"The popular girls are just drama-starters, and you don't have to do much," she recalls of her ordeal.

"I got bullied a lot in primary school – kids were just mean."

Now a mum to Bella, seven, and six-year-old Aaliyah, Michelle is hoping she can set a positive example for her daughters while on House Rules.

"Everybody's entitled to their opinion," she says. "That's fine. It doesn't bother me at all."

Michelle says she doesn't regret anything that's happened on the show. Of course, she has faced her share of 'tough' moments with other contestants on the series.

"I am who I am," Michelle declares. "I'm proud of how I've come across – and I'm happy for my daughters to watch the show.

"I think I can teach them a lot," she says.

House Rules airs Monday to Wednesday, 7:30pm and Sunday, 7pm, on Channel Seven.
